Bob Hope biography Bob Hope (Leslie Townes Hope) was born May 29, 1903. He was a British-born American actor and entertainer. Bob Hope made his film debut in 1938 after a few years of theater work and had his breakthrough with The Cat and the Canary (1939). Bob Hope became an audience favorite with the seven so-called Road films (1940-62), recorded with Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour (1914-96). His witty film characters are girly and intelligent, full of sharp lines, but eternal cowards. His career culminated in The Paleface (1948); since then, his films have worsened. He maintained his popularity through frequent appearances on television and, for example, as a conference speaker at, among other things, The Oscars. Bob Hope's commitment to humanitarian and professional work earned him five special Oscars and the US President's Medal of Freedom. Died July 27, 2003 last updated October 2022

Bing Crosby biography Bing Crosby was born May 3, 1903, in Tacoma, Washington, USA, In the 1930s and 1940s, Crosby was America's most famous crooner and star of popular comedies and entertainment films, and he remained one of America's best-known entertainers until his death. The main element in his success was his velvety and, at the same time, full of character and superior musical assurance voice. His best-known number was Irving Berlin's "White Christmas," first performed in 1942 and used in the film of the same name (1954). Crosby's voice earned him a film role in King of Jazz in 1930, and since then, he has played, among other things, alongside Bob Hope in several comedies. In 1944, he took a leap in his film career when, in an Oscar-winning performance, he played a Catholic priest in Leo McCarey's Going My Way. Albert Omstead biography Albert Omstead passed away on July 19, 2021, after an accident in his home. Albert's death was shocking and tragic. Albert returned home and started fixing a leak near his garage. His brother-in-law Scott Wachtel said that is when a retaining wall suddenly collapsed, trapping him beneath the debris. Albert wasn't working on that wall, which made the accident even more perplexing. Albert, then 38, died of his injuries, leaving behind his wife, four step-children, and one child.
