Adolphe Menjou, 1890-1963, American actor.

Menjou made his breakthrough in Charlie Chaplin's A Woman of Paris (1923), which founded his type as a sleek, elegant, and unreliable charmer.

Some of his best roles were in The Front Page (1931), Morning Glory (1933), A Star is Born (1937), and Paths of Glory (1957).
