Liam Neeson was born June 7, 1952, in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, UK.

After various small jobs, Liam Neeson wanted to become a schoolteacher but dropped it when he became part of the theater scene in Belfast.

John Boorman got to know him and cast him for a role in Excalibur. It turned into many more supporting roles, and in Suspect, he understood to draw attention to himself in a position as dumb. The down-to-earth actor has had many historical roles - for example, in Schindler's List, Rob Roy, and Michael Collins.

Liam Neeson exudes reliability that made his performance successful (among few) in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, where he played Obi-Wan Kenobi's teacher.

The Northern Irishman is productive, and the action series Taken has been one of the actor's biggest hits.
