Billy Crystal  biography


Billy Crystal was born on march 14, 1947.

He is an American actor and director. He broke through as a comedian in the TV series Soap (1977-81, Skum) and in 1984-85 as a stand-up comedian on Saturday Night Live.

On film, he showed a nuanced comedic talent in When Harry Met Sally (1989), City Slickers (1991), and Forget Paris (1995). Crystal made her directorial debut with Mr. Saturday Night (1992).

Later film roles include the popular Analyze This (1999) and Analyze That (2002), where Billy Crystal plays a soft-spoken psychologist opposite Robert De Niro's neurotic mafia boss, as well as America's Sweethearts (2001).

Billy Crystal has also often been a treasured host at the Oscars in 2011.
