Dennis Quaid biography

Dennis Quaid was born on April 9, 1954, an American film actor; he married Meg Ryan 1991-2001, brother of actor Randy Quaid (b. 1950).

Dennis Quaid played i.a. alongside his brother in Walter Hill's western The Long Riders (1980) before making his breakthrough in Philip Kaufman's depiction of the birth of the US space program, The Right Stuff (1983).

Dennis Quaid was then at home as a shrill Jerry Lee Lewis in Great Balls of Fire (1989), and his talent for tarnished charm was also utilized in The Big Easy (1987), Suspect (1987), and Something to Talk About (1995).

In recent years, he has switched between dramatic roles, e.g., as a gay husband in Far from Heaven (2002), the hero in the large-scale disaster film The Day After Tomorrow (2004), and a secret agent in the thriller Vantage Point (2008).
