Marie Fredriksson biography
The lead singer of Roxette, Marie Fredriksson, was born on 30 May 1958 in Össjö in Sweden.
Roxette was founded in 1986 and is one of Sweden's best-known bands, with hits such as "It Must Have Been Love," "Listen to Your Heart," and "Spending My Time."
In 2002, Marie Fredriksson was affected by a brain tumor; according to the doctors, she had a 20% chance of survival.
It was the start of a long course of illness. Marie was later declared healthy but still had health challenges after radiation treatments.
As a result of her illness, Roxette disbanded but reconstituted again in 2009 and has toured intermittently since.
It has also brought the band to Denmark several times. Among other things. Smukfest in 2010, Forum in Horsens in 2011, and Jelling Festival in 2015.
Marie Fredriksson died on December 9, aged 61.
She is survived by her husband, Mikael Bolyos, and their two children.
