Raymond Poulidor biography
Raymond Poulidor was born on April 15, 1936, in Masbaraud-Mérignat, France.
Poulidor became the eternal runner-up, finishing second in the Tour de France three times and third five times.
He won seven Tour de France stages and overall won the Vuelta a España in 1964.
Poulidor did not leave cycling after his career stopped in 1977. Every year he was to be found in the Tour caravan. Here Poulidor allowed himself to be interviewed and photographed.
Raymond Poulidor died on November 13, 2019. He was 83 years old.
