Carlo Ponti biography

Carlo Ponti was an Italian film producer. From the 1950s, he produced a large number of artistic films in and outside Italy, e.g., Federico Fellini's La Strada (1954), Jean-Luc Godard's Une Femme est Une Femme (1961), David Lean's Doctor Zhivago (1965) and Michelangelo Antonioni's Blow-Up (1966).

Carlo Ponti married Sophia Loren in 1957; In 1964, he obtained French citizenship.
