Edward G. Robinson (Emmanuel Goldenberg) 1893-1973, American film actor. Robinson became known for several gangster roles, including in Little Caesar (1931) and The Last Gangster (1937), and later had nuanced character roles, e.g., in Double Indemnity (1944) and The Woman in the Window (1944).
As an older man, he was seen in traditional supporting roles, e.g., Cheyenne Autumn (1964) and The Cincinnati Kid (1965).
