Errol Flynn biography


Errol Flynn, 1909-1959, Australian-American actor. Errol Flynn was born in Tasmania, and after a youth characterized by adventure, he was trained in theater in England.

In 1935, Flynn came to Hollywood, where in the same year, he had his breakthrough as the romantic, devil-may-care hero in Captain Blood.

The hood and hood movies became Errol Flynn's almost undisputed domain for 20 years, and his popularity in and out of the film was legendary, including The Charge of the Light Brigade (1936), The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), and Kim (1950).
