Jodie Foster (Alicia Christian Foster) was born on November 11, 1962.

She is an American actor. Jodie Foster made her television debut as early as 1970 and attracted a lot of attention for her role as a child prostitute in Martin Scorsese's Taxi Driver (1976).

As an adult, she has made an impression in her two Oscar-winning roles as the rape victim in The Accused (1988) and as the FBI agent in a psychological duel with Anthony Hopkins' mass murderer in The Silence of the Lambs (1991).

In 1991, Jodie Foster made her debut as a director with the low-key everyday portrait of a seven-year-old prodigy, Little Man Tate, and has since followed up with, among other things, the daily drama The Beaver (2011).

As an actress, she has, among other things, made her mark in Nell (1994) and as an energetic heroine in, among others, Contact (1997), David Fincher's Panic Room (2002), and Flightplan (2005).
