He is an American actor. As a jovial and corpulent comedian, John Goodman has played minor roles in Sweet Dreams (1986) and the Coen brothers' Raising Arizona (1987) and especially in the TV series Roseanne (1988-97).

Since then, he has also participated in, among other things, Coyote Ugly (2000) and One Night at McCool's (2001), as well as providing voices for animated films such as Monsters, Inc. (2001), John Lasseter's Cars (2006) and Bee Movie (2007).
