Lee Marvin biography


Lee Marvin, 1924-1987, American actor. Marvin, with his mocking smiles and dry comments, was a safe type in gangster, war, and western films such as The Killers (1964), The Professionals (1966), and The Dirty Dozen (1967).

After many supporting roles, he got his breakthrough in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (1962).

Marvin won an Oscar for his role in the western comedy Cat Ballou (1965).
