Michael J. Fox biography


Michael J. Fox (Michael Andrew Fox) was born on June 9, 1961. He is a Canadian-American actor.

With his boyish looks, Michael J. Fox starred as an adult teenager in Family Ties (1982-88). He starred in the science fiction comedy Back to the Future (1985), directed by Robert Zemeckis, and its two sequels (1989 and 1990).

He is also remembered in Bright Lights, Big City (1985), based on Jay McInerney's novel, The Hard Way (1991), in which he parodied his own image and The American President (1995).

In 2000, Michael J. Fox retired from the successful TV series Spin City (1996-2002) due to Parkinson's disease but subsequently managed to appear intermittently in various other TV series.
