Tim Burton biography

Tim Burton, born in 1958, was an American film director; who paired up with Helena Bonham Carter.

Tim Burton has written several visually original stories, often about traumatized, lonely heroes, as in Batman (1989), Edward Scissorhands (1990), and Ed Wood (1994).

In addition, he has, among other things, directed the ironic science fiction parody Mars Attacks! (1996), the atmospheric horror Sleepy Hollow (1999), and the remake of Planet of the Apes (2001).

Tim Burton's penchant for gothic and adventurous universes is reflected in his later productions, e.g., Big Fish (2003), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), the animated film Corpse Bride (2005) as well as Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Alice Through The Looking Glass (2016).
