Val Kilmer was born on December 31, 1959, in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Educated as a professional actor in Hollywood, Val Kilmer began his career in the theater and eventually had several roles on the New York stage. On the white screen, he debuted in the spoof comedy "Top Secret" (1984) to become known as Tom Cruise's rival Iceman in "Top Gun" in 1986.

With a frighteningly accurate portrait of Jim Morrison in "The Doors" (1991) ) the reviewers became convinced of his abilities, which he has since demonstrated.
