Diane Keaton biography


Diane Keaton was born as an American actress and director on January 5, 1946. Diane Keaton had her breakthrough on Broadway in Hair (1968) and the following year starred opposite Woody Allen in Play It Again, Sam.

In 1972, she reprised the role in the films (Me and Bogart) and then became Allen's muse in, among others, Sleeper (1973), Annie Hall (1977), Manhattan (1979), and again in Manhattan Murder Mystery (1993).

Diane Keaton has also had character roles in the Godfather trilogy (1972, 1974, 1990) and in, Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977), and, for example, in the historical dramas Reds (1981) and Mrs. Soffel (1984).

In the latter half of her career, she had several comedic roles, such as Something's Gotta Give (2003) and Because I Said So (2007). As a director, she has mainly worked in television.
