Frances Farmer was born September 19, 1913, in Seattle, Washington, USA. She was an American actress.
Frances was in opposition to the Hollywood system and characterized by mental imbalance and therefore only got a few roles, e.g., in Come and Get It (1936) and Ride a Crooked Mile (1938).
She had a revealing autobiography published posthumously, Will There Really Be a Morning? (1972), which was dramatized on television, was made into a film with Jessica Lange in the title role of Frances (1982).
This film depicts a scene depicting the performance of the white cut on Frances Farmer. However, it is documented that this never took place in reality.
Died august 1, 1970, in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
