Jennifer Lawrence was born on August 15, 1990, in Louisville, Kentucky, USA.

At a young age, Jennifer Lawrence was one of her generation's most talented actresses when she was nominated for an Oscar for her lead performance in Winter's Bone.

The independent film was not her first; however, at age 14, she was discovered by film agents in New York City. She then worked as a model in commercials (including for H&M), and in 2006 she made her film debut in the TV film 'Company Town.'

From here, the journey went to Los Angeles and a role in the TV series 'The Bill Engvall Show, but it was in the role of the energetic Ree Dolly in Winter's Bone that Jennifer Lawrence broke through widely, but she is also prominent in films such as The Beaver and X-Men: First Class. She scored the lead role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games with sequels, and she received an Oscar for her performance as Tiffany in 'Silver Linings Playbook.'
