Walter Matthau biography
Walter Matthau (Walter Matuschanskavasky) was born on October 1, 1920, an American actor.
Walter Matthau had villain supporting roles, for example, in King Creole (1958), before he broke through as a comedian on Broadway in The Odd Couple (1965) and triumphed in the film adaptation together with Jack Lemmon (1968).
His witty expression and sarcastic repartee have been particularly successful against Jack Lemmon's nervous temperament in comedies such as The Fortune Cookie (1966), The Front Page (1974), and Grumpy Old Men (1993).
Walter Matthaus' other comedies include Cactus Flower (1969) and The Sunshine Boys (1975).
