Dianne Wiest biography


Dianne Wiest, born March 28, 1948, is an American actress primarily known for portraits of neurotic, vulnerable women with Woody Allen, i.a., in Hannah and Her Sisters (1986) and Bullets Over Broadway (1994), for which she both won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Diane Wiest has also shown her incredible acting talent in several central theater roles on Broadway.

Also, in films such as Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands (1990), Robert Redford's The Horse Whisperer (1998), and the drama I am Sam (2001).

She has also appeared in TV series such as The 10th Kingdom 2000, Law & Order 2000-02, and In Treatment 2008-09.
